Brisanet was founded in 1998 by José Roberto Nogueira in Pereiro, Ceará, with the aim of offering internet via radio in the northeastern interior. In 2000, it expanded to several cities in Ceará and Rio Grande do Norte. In 2010, it became the largest radio internet operator in Brazil, serving 30,000 customers in 150 cities. In 2011, it began deploying fiber optics, with Pau dos Ferros being the first city to be 100% served by this technology.In 2015, the Company diversified its services to include fixed telephony, pay TV and mobile telephony.In 2019, it expanded to João Pessoa and, in 2020, it became a public limited company. In 2021, it issued its first debentures and acquired 5G rights. In 2022, it achieved the highest customer growth among Brazilian operators and earned high marks in ANATEL's satisfaction survey.Brisanet currently offers fiber optic internet services, pay TV, streaming, and fixed and mobile telephony. Its operations are supported by a robust network of over 47,400 km of backbone infrastructure, more than 280 data centers, and over 157,000 km of FTTH cables. In December 2024, the Company merged with its parent company, Brisanet Participações, and was listed in its place on the Novo Mercado segment of B3.In October 2025, the company served more than 290 municipalities in the Northeast with fixed broadband, fixed telephony, and mobile telephony services. During this period, it had a base of more than 1.5 million broadband customers and more than 762,000 mobile service users (4G/5G).
