In 2023, we took a crucial step that will shape the future of our company: we launched the mobile phone service with 4G/5G technology. This transformation is in line with the Company's commitment to offering high-quality connections to all customers.
With more than 7,500 dedicated employees, we were able to implement this operation faster and more efficiently than our fiber optic network. In less than a year, our 5G infrastructure has reached more than 40 cities, covering almost 4 million inhabitants in urban and rural areas. Financially, the Company recorded significant growth, with 192 thousand new fixed broadband customers in the Northeast and a net profit of R$163 million, an increase of more than 150% compared to the previous year.
These integrated initiatives strengthen our position and enable us to promote, in the dynamic telecommunications sector, economic and regional development through connections between people.
